The 15th Annual POPA Operations and Safety Convention at Pilatus’s Headquarters in Broomfield, CO, was a resounding success. We had a record attendance and nearly record number of aircraft. PilBAL generously hosted an amazing reception on Friday evening amidst antique aircraft flown in for the occasion, a stunning night airshow and a creative fundraising performance by “The Three Painters”. Informative presentations added to create a POPA convention that has received rave reviews. As the convention has now passed, we are in a reflective mood.
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Why Tulsa? As members contemplated whether to attend this year’s annual POPA convention, that was not an uncommon question. The near record attendance of 40 PC-12s and over 190 attendees got their answer: Content, Content, Content!

Palm Coast, Florida...A beautiful location and a great convention!
Our 12th Annual Convention is now in the record books; and based on participant feedback it was a success! We once again had over 200 attendees. This represents over 40 owners and operators. Flagler County Airport reported 27 PC-12s, a couple Pipers, two Cessna, and a Bonanza on the tarmac. It was quite an impressive display of aircraft.
Ginn Hammock Beach Resort was a spectacular location. The weather was beautiful, thrilling all those who chose to participate in our first all-comers Golf Outing Thursday preceding our two day meeting. It also allowed us to have two wonderful receptions outside on the Grand Event Lawn, one being punctuated with a picture perfect view from the beach of the Space Shuttle launch. To top off our choice of venue, the food and accommodations were extraordinary (with the one exception of a false fire alarm in the wee hours our last night), as was the staff.

The 2007 POPA Convention has come and gone! We made it! The saying, "Don't Mess With Texas"... they tried! We had tornadoes and thunderstorms before and after... but she gave us perfect weather in between. Atlantic Aviation welcomed over 33 PC-12s and did an excellent job. We had over 200 attendees this year, representing 44 PC-12 owners, pilots and guests. Twenty-eight vendors joined us this year.
